MADRID LANDSCAPES Print E-mail

"The arid and dusty lands, lonely trees, mountains and rivers mix up composing perfect drawings, infinite spaces full with serene atmospheres, in which it seems you can touch the air."

ISABEL FUSTER "MADRID LANDSCAPES"

Individual Exhibition

October 15 2010

Along her path Isabel Fuster has created an original language that can be followed in all her work. She is passionate about the idea of space and the airbound observation of landscape, fields, rivers, mountains ...

The creative process consists in capturing bird´s eye view images and translating them in to the plane of the canvas, transforming the air in to landscape.

"Madrid Landscapes" is the title of the Charlie May series made up of 10 paintings with mixed technique. Acrylic on canvas, adition of textures in combinations accentuated sometimes with gold or silver leaf, that suggest layers, earth sediments, nebulae, effects created under the transparency of the atmosphere.

Her palette is made up of an austere and well balanced colour range, but with infinite tonality. Browns, greens, yellows, ochers, where weight correponds with a certain distance and point of view. Silence, placidity, poetry. To the artist rainfall is serenity, the storm a spectacle that she conveys accentuating the intensity of its colour.

Currently Isabel Fuster is working in between Madrid and New York combining tuition with her own work.
