It's the heart afraid of breaking that never learns to dance. It's the dream afraid of waking that never takes the chance. It's the one who won't be taken, who cannot seem to give, and the soul afraid of dyin' that never learns to live. When the night has been too lonely and the road has been too long, and you think that love is only for the lucky and the strong, just remember in the winter far beneath the bitter snows lies the seed that with the sun's love in the spring becomes the rose. (The Rose / Bette Midler)
When we find an extraordinary piece of art, we feel something that gets to the innermost part of ourselves and hurts us. According to scientists, the mind then feels obleged to make a general reorganisation because of the assimilation of that new experience and cannot face it within the bounds of traditional recognition. As a result of such reorganisation, something new is created. This process may be called creation.
It could be said that the difference between our cognoscitive system and the real world is the food for our dreativity. Because of this, we must go on feeling this difference and receive that deep hurt. We need to relate to the exterior, that is to the world.
